For Kim M. in New York state who is losing a pint of blood per day, and for her medical staff...[February 4] Kim has been in intensive care for thirty-six days. Her family is travelling to be with her...[February 20] After fifty-three days in the hospital, Kim is being transferred to an assisted living facility. Her body has begun making hemoglobin so transfusions are not needed....[March 11] Kim has returned to the hospital for blood transfusions. The doctors are running more tests. Support also for her brother, Keith....[March 25] After eighty days in the hospital with a few weeks of rehab, Kim is returning to her home with hospice care.

For Brandly M. in Fairhope, Alabama who will have extensive back surgery on Monday... [December 18] Brandly had a four-hour surgery. Rods were attached to four lumbar vertebra to give stability and to alleviate painful pressure on her nerves. She is in good spirits and will return home this afternoon....[December 24] Brandly has more pain, numbness in her legs, and emotional stress....[December 28] Brandly was admitted to a hospital late Thursday afternoon to manage her pain. The doctors suspect inflammation is causing it. After a CT scan, no additional surgery is expected...[January 5, 2025] Brandly will move from a hospital into a rehab facility tomorrow. Her pain has reduced and her medications have been modified making her feel more like herself....[January 18] Brandly is being discharged today from rehab and will return home. She continues to have pain. Support also for her husband Earl and other family caregivers...[January 30] No progress has been made around pain management. Continued support for all involved in this process...[February 6] Brandly's condition is worsening. Additional medical resources are being located, including appropriate neurosurgeons to take over her case...[February 11] A neurosurgeon has now taken over her treatment. She is in the hospital and being treated for bone and tissue infections. The extreme pain is still being evaluated...[February 19] Brandley was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital today. The source of her pain is still unclear. She is looking forward to receiving physical therapy and getting her mobility back....[March 11] Brandly has made very little progress. Continued support for her family and medical team as they seek answers and treatment for physical and cognitive issues.

A change in medication has helped. Brandly is able to sit up for longer periods of time and is taking short walks. She has an appointment on Tuesday for further evaluation and a possible date to return home with in-house care.

an additional medication and a positive outlook...[October 21] A lump was discovered during an exam for bowel inflammation and surgery is scheduled for Wednesday...[November 5] The surgery went very well. The doctors say the
cancerous lump has been removed, but cancer cells may still be there. Elisabeth will decide what further treatment she wants to take...[December 6] Elisabeth decided on medication and a supervision of her bowels and blood
twice a year....[January 6, 2025] Elisabeth is in the healing process. Her blood test results still need to improve.

For Judy G. in Pennsylvania who is being treated for liver cancer...[January 30] Judy's cancer has been reduced and the liver has regenerated. However, her body is retaining fluids in her midsection and no treatment has helped so far...[February 25] Judy will regularly have the abdominal fluids drained. She also lives in Florida and likes her medical team there. She is choosing to remain in Florida as long as she can....[May 10] Judy is feeling much better. Her doctor has taken her off salt which has reduced the abdominal fluids...[November 8] Judy continues to have excessive abdominal fluid removed weekly...[December 21] Judy's organs are damaged from the cancer and radiation treatment and her cognition is affected. Her husband Ed continues to take care of her...[March 11, 2023] Judy has had fewer symptoms. She is walking daily and is in good spirits....[December 16, 2024] Judi has continued to have fluids removed from her abdomen weekly for the past two years. She needs several days to regain her strength after this procedure.

Judy is now in Seminole, Florida with her caregiver and husband, Ed. She continues to go every Thursday to have the fluids in her abdomen extracted. The amount of fluid being removed has increased from five to ten liters a week.
